Evidence tonight

Evidence

Today at Evidence, a youth group, we talked about the movie "Stranger
Than Fiction", and about how the main character started to really live
his life after he found out, or realized, that he was going to die.

It was also mentioned that it is very likely that if we were on
Antarctica, havent't eaten for 40 days, and a man comes along and
shows and offers us a plate of hot shit or a delicious brownie that we
cannot see, but one that he has, that we would opt to take the shit.
He thinks this because of what he sees in our conversations on
Facebook, our pictures we share, or the music we listen to. We choose
shit in our every day, even though a delicoius brownie is offered to us.
The great things are, that the brownie, representing Jesus Christ, is
still offered to us after we dive into the shit, and He can and is
willing to clean us from that filth.

What will you choose today?

Reference: Phillipians 3:8
8 More than that, I now regard all things as liabilities compared to
the far greater value of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord, for whom I have
suffered the loss of all things - indeed, I regard them as dung! -
that I may gain Christ,

May God bless you,

Sermon Notes from January 18, 2015

Sermon notes, CITW, January 18, 2015 "Necessity of Oneness" The devil plants lies in peoples minds. The only way you're going to be truly happy is by following the principles found in the Word. Oneness - joined together in unity. Moving in the same direction. Same goals.  You don't want everyone to be the same as you. We were made different for the following reason: 1 Cor 12:25 Gen 2:24, Mat 19:3-8, Mark 10:2, Eph 5:25-27, 1 Cor 6:15-17 : The use of one flesh has been used five times. When man and female come together the union is part of the image of God... As the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit are one. How do you become one... Let's consider how we became one spirit with the Lord...we had to die. Die to self. It is similar with our spouse...we have to die to self. Often times we focus on being right...but we should focus on being right with our spouse.  The key to a successful Christian life? You must die to yourself. The key to a successful marriage? Yo...

Patience

Patience is the decision to move at someone else’s pace rather than pressure them to match yours. Patience is choosing to do less than you are capable of for the sake of keeping in step with someone else.
