"Necessity of Oneness"
The devil plants lies in peoples minds. The only way you're going to be truly happy is by following the principles found in the Word.
Oneness - joined together in unity. Moving in the same direction. Same goals.
You don't want everyone to be the same as you. We were made different for the following reason: 1 Cor 12:25
Gen 2:24, Mat 19:3-8, Mark 10:2, Eph 5:25-27, 1 Cor 6:15-17 : The use of one flesh has been used five times. When man and female come together the union is part of the image of God... As the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit are one.
How do you become one...
Let's consider how we became one spirit with the Lord...we had to die. Die to self. It is similar with our spouse...we have to die to self.
Often times we focus on being right...but we should focus on being right with our spouse.
The key to a successful Christian life? You must die to yourself.
The key to a successful marriage? You must die to yourself.
Die and let God take over...He can choose a better job, He can choose a better house, He can choose a better friend...
Malachi 2:14-16
One can put 1000 to flight. Two can put 10000 to flight. Working together can exponentially increase your effectiveness for the Kingdom.
Men, die first as Jesus died for His bride, even when we were sinners.
Eph 5:25-27

To work on time

I had the intention of leaving to work on time this morning, but I left late because the freezing rain last night froze my door shut, and windows required heavy scraping. I was able to get in the car after some prying, and scraped a "hole" big enough to see ahead of me through the windshield (not best practice). After asking the Lord for help in getting to work on time, I arrived safely, and with a minute to spare :) Praise God!

I no longer make the best fried fish

Last night for dinner I made some fried fish. Aliza said it is the best fried fish. This morning, it is the first thing she said also, "Daddy, you make the best fried fish". I hugged her, and we went downstairs. It's Monday, so I'm getting some things ready before I head out the door, and she asked for some chocolate covered pretzels...I gave her a couple and she cries out for more. When I denied her request for more, she cries and yells "You don't make the best fried fish!"

Update

Much happened since the last 3 months, and I should have kept up with posting updates, but I was lazy. I'm sorry. I'm going to mention one marvelous testimony for now. On October 13, I went to see a doctor for the results of a test a week prior. Since a few months before then, I felt shortness of breath and chest discomfort, and that's why I went to the doc in the first place. So, on the 13th, doc said I had class 1 heart failure, outputting 35% of blood. I was put on meds, and began praying for healing. I prayed with my wife, I prayed with the prayer team at church, and believed I would be healed, though often the devil lied to me with doubt that it would not happen. This past Friday, Nov 6th, however, I went in for an angiograph, to see if the coronary arteries were part of the issue. After the test, the doctor stated that the heart was beating just fine, without problems! God's timing is perfect!
