The Word is...

The Word is_______
... a weapon
... seed
Principle of the Word: Seed time and harvest
The patience of people now, with tech and instant gratification, appears to be shorter.
Mark 4:13-20
If the Word is not part of your life,  neither fruit will be part of your life.
Why am I angry? Why am I sick? Why is there no harvest in my life?
Have I planted seed in my life? There is NO shortcut with seed and harvest! You can't grow vegetables overnight! You have to plant the good seed, water it, wait, water it, wait more, until the harvest time comes.
When you are planting the Word into your life, the harvest may come next week, next month, next year or decade, or even it may come for your children!
You have to dive into the Word, and be planting and watering the seed EVERY DAY! You can't be living by refreshing only every Sunday at church, getting prayed for. You also have to feed every day you wake, every day!
If you don't eat physical food, you'll feel hungry and likely not be able to perform well. Same thing with spiritual food, the Word of God. If you don't eat it, you will be spiritually hungry, and you will likely become weaker.
Plant, sow the seed. Water, water, water daily! It will grow, and grow, and the harvest will come!
If it doesn't grow, the problem is with the soil, with us. The seed is good. The sower, our Lord, is good.
It is the soil, whether thorny, dry and un-watered, weedy, lacking nutrients, that will not grow seed. Prepare the soil. You can prepare the soil by tilling it, reading the Word, not feeding from the world, whether it be media, what people we spend time with most.
Mark 4:35-38
Joshua 1:8.  - this says meditate on it, to think about it, and think about it more. To revolve it in your mind. Imagine what God's Word manifested in your life would look like. It's got to grow deep before it goes up.
Don't we think and revolve in our minds the things of the world? Don't we think about worst case scenario when a sign of trouble arrives? Change this around, and instead think about God's promises.
Meditate, articulate, living it!
True Bible faith is an inward disposition, that will ALWAYS produce an outward response. Hence, faith without works is dead.
Though it's ok to listen to the Bible when driving, or fast reading a chapter of Bible in the morning before work, without being still and meditating on it, it will likely not grow deep inside of us.

Today

Today I was led by the Spirit to take specific turns on Elgin roads and talk to specific people. When I talked to them, I offered them bread and bananas donated to the church from trader joes. It was awesome, as the people were open to receive these blessings from God, and I had a wonderful time experiencing taking part in God's work. Amazing! I have also been thinking since I have been involved in this ministry, that I could have been doing this years ago, and evangelizing to people. What was the cause of me not coming to this point earlier?

How do you know you have a servant heart?

Gen 39:9 One way you know walking through a field if it's ready for harvest is when it is bending towards the earth. If you want to be happy in serving Jesus there's only one fulfillment in getting true joy: how much can you give... Jesus says let me show you how my kingdom works... When he washed his friends feet Do you want to be great in His kingdom? That is how you get that position... To be a servant of all, esteem everyone better than yourself

Mens ministry message

theres a battle. like a military operation, take control of the operation. we are to hold the ground until He comes. at our employer. at our friends. in all situations. dont be timid. speak, confess over your situation. speak the Word, the scripture over your situauin and reapeat it over you. just speak the Word. speak over your employment situation, etc. the gifts of ministry, teaching, preaching exhortation, etc, each has a gift. we were just all commanded to  speak the gospel to all the parts of the world. we may not all have been called to teach, preach, etc.
