The Word Is _________ my meditation

The Word Is _________ my meditation

Josh 1:8

Ps 1:1-3

devil hijacked meditation, music, art

Meditation is not emptying the mind like is traditional in eastern cultures. In fact, meditation is giving serious thought, pondering, thinking about the Word of God.

Meditation on the word of God produces results.

Mark 4:20

When you buy a packet of seeds, there's a picture on the front showing what the seeds inside have the POTENTIAL of producing. If the Bible was a packet of seeds, the picture on the front would be Jesus. Therefore seeds inside the Bible have the potential to turn people into being more like Jesus.

Ps 119:148

The truth will set you free. Therefore if you've been hurt by someone, or got into an argument with someone, usually people will meditate on the situation, replaying the scenario in your mind, thinking perhaps how you should have behaved our what you should have said. Doing this you are getting into bondage. Instead, be set free! Meditate on the Word of God! It will produce something good!

Heb 4:12

1 Tim 4:12-15

As a man thinketh, that he will become.

How to meditate:

1) Minimize. It's about quality, not quantity. You can't meditate on 5 chapters of the Bible in a day.

2) Memorize. One verse a week. This can be used by the Holy Spirit to bring them to your remembrance when needed.

3) Prioritize. Don't let distractions route you.

To work on time

I had the intention of leaving to work on time this morning, but I left late because the freezing rain last night froze my door shut, and windows required heavy scraping. I was able to get in the car after some prying, and scraped a "hole" big enough to see ahead of me through the windshield (not best practice). After asking the Lord for help in getting to work on time, I arrived safely, and with a minute to spare :) Praise God!

I no longer make the best fried fish

Last night for dinner I made some fried fish. Aliza said it is the best fried fish. This morning, it is the first thing she said also, "Daddy, you make the best fried fish". I hugged her, and we went downstairs. It's Monday, so I'm getting some things ready before I head out the door, and she asked for some chocolate covered pretzels...I gave her a couple and she cries out for more. When I denied her request for more, she cries and yells "You don't make the best fried fish!"

Update

Much happened since the last 3 months, and I should have kept up with posting updates, but I was lazy. I'm sorry. I'm going to mention one marvelous testimony for now. On October 13, I went to see a doctor for the results of a test a week prior. Since a few months before then, I felt shortness of breath and chest discomfort, and that's why I went to the doc in the first place. So, on the 13th, doc said I had class 1 heart failure, outputting 35% of blood. I was put on meds, and began praying for healing. I prayed with my wife, I prayed with the prayer team at church, and believed I would be healed, though often the devil lied to me with doubt that it would not happen. This past Friday, Nov 6th, however, I went in for an angiograph, to see if the coronary arteries were part of the issue. After the test, the doctor stated that the heart was beating just fine, without problems! God's timing is perfect!
