Aliza's good morning

I woke up 10 minutes before Aliza. Ihave was in the living room when I heard her wake up,  get down from the bed, and walk towards the door. She attempted to turn the knob but couldn't. She then knocked on the door; so sweet. When I opened the door,  she greeted me with a big smile and a small, wooden, square plaque that said "#1 DAD"; sweeter. (The plaque was gifted to us the day before by a friend who is skilled in wood work)

Humility

Prov 3:34 Prov 11:2 Prov 15:33 Prov 18:12 Humility is not the same thing as humiliation. It is not the same thing as self hatred, depression. It is about exalting others. Rom 12:16b associate yourself with the humble Phi 2:3 esteem others better than himself When you esteem someone, you encourage them, brag about other people more than about yourself, pray for people 1 Pet 5:5 Submit yourselves to your elders Sent from my Verizon Wireless BlackBerry

How to train your flesh

Step 1. Shoot it down and contain it Cor 9:27, Rom 6:19 Step 2. Learn its weaknesses Mat 6:3-18 Step 3. Fix the broken pieces James 4:7-10 Step 4. Help others do the same. Fasting will help weaken the flesh, regardless of what the temptation is. You will never move on to fighting your real enemy, until you can subdue your flesh. Sent from my Verizon Wireless BlackBerry
Aliza, my 19 month old daughter, was just praying after her meal. And she put her hands together and said, " Amen. God. Amen mana ( which means bannana). Jesush. Babtcha. Amen. She pretty much was thanking God for banannas, Jesus, and babcia (grandma). :) Later, she brought The Story of Christmas book and said Jesush :) This brings joy to my heart!
I enjoy spending time with Aliza, my 19 month old daughter. She's been doing this for some time, but she calls me daddy, and Jessica mommy. Sometime, she'll say "my daddy"; it's awesome. Today, we were praying as a family at bedtime, and she says "God", and "Amen", and the first time I heard her say "Jesus"! I believe it pleases the Lord also to hear Aliza pray.

To work on time

I had the intention of leaving to work on time this morning, but I left late because the freezing rain last night froze my door shut, and windows required heavy scraping. I was able to get in the car after some prying, and scraped a "hole" big enough to see ahead of me through the windshield (not best practice). After asking the Lord for help in getting to work on time, I arrived safely, and with a minute to spare :) Praise God!

Marriage small group

its not about me. the less you are in the Word, the less you know. it brings a reality check. self pity is pride also. bc at the center of your pity, is you. with pride comes shame, hard heart, destruction, God will resist you. if you want to be used by God, humility is the key. "God, please give me Your grace to get over myself." Remind yourself how God sees pride. Meditate how pride is affecting your life. Hate and detest pride. Keep the Bible open. Keep the Scriptures in front of your eyes. One thing you can do to fight pride is deny your flesh. Don't do what your flesh desires. You can humble yourself in fasting. Spend more time with God, bc you will become more like the ones you spend time with.

Mens ministry message

theres a battle. like a military operation, take control of the operation. we are to hold the ground until He comes. at our employer. at our friends. in all situations. dont be timid. speak, confess over your situation. speak the Word, the scripture over your situauin and reapeat it over you. just speak the Word. speak over your employment situation, etc. the gifts of ministry, teaching, preaching exhortation, etc, each has a gift. we were just all commanded to  speak the gospel to all the parts of the world. we may not all have been called to teach, preach, etc.
